Dear Social Partners,
 
As announced in the Commission communication “A Union of Equality: Gender
Equality Strategy 2020-2025” presented on 5 March, the Commission will table
binding measures on pay transparency by the end of 2020.
 
The Commission will organise on 25 June a consultation hearing with social
partners on the pay transparency initiative (videoconference) that will feed into the
preparations of this initiative. Please find attached the background document
produced by the Commission services for this meeting.
 
The overall size of delegations should be limited to 25 representatives, coming
from EU secretariats and national members of cross-industry social partners as well
as from European sectoral social partners. Delegations are coordinated by the
European cross-industry social partners.
 
Social partners may also provide the Commission with written input. Please address
