Meeting with European Round Table for industry, 23 February 2021 
 
Commissioner Breton met representatives from the European Roundtable for Industry to discussed how 
to strengthen Europe’s place in the world, the EU competitiveness, the preparation of the update of the 
EU Industrial Strategy.  
 
ERT also presented their work on key performance indicators, on single market and on 
upskillng/reskilling.  
 
The ERT notably presented their analysis under preparation on technological transformation and EU 
industrial strategy. This analysis embraces the ecosystems approach to identify enabling technologies 
and key actions to unlock benefits for strengthening the Single Market.  
 
The Commission presented a state-of-play on the preparation of the update of the EU Industrial 
strategy.
