Dear Mrs Gauer told me that you could be available to attend the online
Astrid's seminar on "The design of the Recovery Plan for Italy", the program of
which I report below. We would be very pleased and honoured if you would like
to confirm this availability and tell us if, in this case, you would prefer to
intervene with a short opening speech or to intervene after Minister Amendola's
report. As you can see, many prominent personalities will attend the seminar:
among them the Minister for the family Elena Bonetti, the former Prime Minister
Giuliano Amato, the former Finance Minister Piercarlo Padoan, the former
Minister for territorial cohesion Claudio De Vincenti, the former minister for
infrastructure Paolo Costa.
Astrid is a think tank founded in 2001 by the former Italian Prime Minister
Giuliano Amato and myself: today it includes among its active members more
and political orientation but all strongly committed to promoting the European
integration and to strengthen the role of the European institutions
(www.astrid.eu ).
Astrid's seminars are held in compliance with the Chatham House rules: we have
twenty years of experience of rigorous compliance with those rules, never failing
in over 500 seminars.
