All notification procedures carried out in accordance with Article 24(3) of the Tobacco Products Directive
Dear Health and Food Safety,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- All documents related any notification procedure launched in accordance with Article 24(3) of the Directive 2014/40/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3rd April 2014 on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States concerning the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco and related products.
The above includes, but is not limited to:
- Documents, correspondence and e-mails exchanged between the European Commission and any Member State that have resulted in the initiation of the notification procedure in accordance with Article 24(3) of the Tobacco Products Directive, regardless of whether or not the notified national measures were finally approved by the European Commission.
- Documents, opinions, correspondence and e-mails from the notifying Member State laying down the grounds of justification for the notified national measure, regardless of whether or not the notified national measures were finally approved by the European Commission.
- Documents, opinions, decisions, correspondence and e-mails from the European Commission on the notified measure and the grounds of justification for accepting or blocking the notified measure, regardless of whether or not the notified national measures were finally approved by the European Commission.
