Dear Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1. In 2013 - 2014 a number of skin-lightening creams were listed on the RAPEX report as containing mercury. We would like to request any and all laboratory test results or analytical laboratory reports in the agency's possession or control showing that skin-lightening creams listed in the RAPEX report contain mercury.

2. We would like to request records of any and all communications between the agency and Amazon.com, Inc. about products listed in the RAPEX report from 2011 to present.

Yours faithfully,
Chelsea Linsley, Esq.

Dear Ms Linsley,

Thank you very much for your e-mail and interest in the activities of the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea).

Please note that Chafea is entrusted with the implementation of the EU Health Programme, the Consumer Programme, Better Training for Safer Food initiative (BTSF) and the Promotion of Agriculture Products Programme. Its main task is the management of grants and procurement in the above mentioned fields. In this regard, the Agency does not deal with any regulatory matters.

Therefore, we kindly suggest you to contact our colleagues in the European Commission, Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST), Unit E.4 who are responsible for the Rapid Alert System (RAPEX) and in CC of this e-mail.

Kind regards,
