Dear Human Resources and Security,

Thank you for your reply. More recent media reports have made clear that Ms. Draghia-Akli has actually taken "unpaid leave on personal grounds for one year".

Taking that into consideration, I would like to expand my original request to include all documents which relate to any article 16, article 12B and article 40 (staff regulations) applications made by Deputy Director-General of DG Research and Innovation Ruxandra Draghia-Akli, including to work for Merck & Co.

In particular, I request a note of all Ms. Draghia-Akli job titles at the Commission including dates held; copies of any application(s) that she has made under article 12b, 16 and 40 to undertake a new professional activity; and all documents (correspondence, emails, meeting notes etc) related to the authorisation of the new role or roles.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Ms Da Silva,
We refer to your e-mail dated 3 May 2017 in which you make a request for
access to documents. This request, as amended on 4 May, was registered
under the above-mentioned reference number.
This request will be dealt with as quickly as possible. However, because
of the consultations which are necessary in view of the specific nature of
the documents requested, we will not be able to reply within a deadline of
15 working days. We must therefore extend the period for the reply by
another 15 working days, in accordance with Article 7 of Regulation No
1049/2001. The new deadline will expire on 20 June 2017.
Thank you very much for your understanding,
