Dear Mr Syrovatka,
Thank you for your email. As you can imagine, there have been many personnel changes since the start of the financial crisis. Nevertheless, the person who headed the Commission’s macroeconomic forecast team at that time says that as a direct result of the financial crisis, the Commission not only discussed the situation intensively with the Member States and international financial institutions, but also other market participants; hence, economic projections by BusinessEurope and other forecasters would have been discussed and considered more than in normal economic times. However, there is no evidence that there was any special consideration of the specific report you refer to.
