Dear Sir,
We refer to your request dated 18/07/2017 in which you make a request for access to documents, registered on 18/07/2017 under the above mentioned reference number.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a position to complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires on 09/08/2017.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that we received your application at a time when many colleagues take their summer holiday and that we received several wide-scope requests on the same day which fall under the remit of the same Unit.
Therefore, you will understand that an extended time limit is needed in order to complete our finding and assessment on the possibility for the public disclosure of the various documents requested.
In this context, we have to extend the time limit for a reply until 28 September. Nevertheless, we will do our very best to send you a reply before that date.
Thank you for your understanding,
Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Kröger,
I refer to your letter dated 27 November 2017 by which you inform me about the European Commission's impossibility to respond to my confirmatory application dated 12 October 2017 regarding public access to Commission documents within the legally stipulated time limits. You explain that the Commission was about to finalise a decision on the matter around the date of your letter. More than two months later, I have still not received a response or further reaction from your part. I thus ask you to finally provide me with a decision on my confirmatory application before 9 February 2018.
Yours sincerely,
