Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,

Many thanks for your response.

I would like to confirm my request to obtain all documents which contain any interaction between President Ursula von der Leyen and her cabinet, and individual Member States regarding their designation of candidate members of the European Commission. I refer to any letter or other exchange that took place during the formation of the new College of Commissioners in relation to the appointment process, with a specific interest in the documents exchanged between the Commission President and her cabinet regarding the candidate(s) put forward by each individual member state's government.

I seize this chance to highlight that it took over two months for the EU Commission to get back to me with a clarifying question, which could and should have been raised within the statutory 15 days foreseen by Reg 1049/2001.

I would be grateful if you could respect the time limits in treating my demand and avoid any unjustified extension, as it manifestly did already occur in the past months.

Warm wishes,

Alberto Alemanno
