Communication Bayer CropScience / Green Deal

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- Any study, impact assessment, forecast, paper or other document received from (or representatives from) Bayer AG, Bayer CropScience, the European Chemical Industry Council Cefic and/or the European Crop Protection Association (ECPA) concerning or mentioning the Green Deal or the EU Biodiversity Strategy between May 2019 and March 2020.

- a list of meetings including detailed minutes and any other reports of such meetings between DG TRADE's officials (including the Commissioner and his Cabinet members) and (or representatives from) Bayer AG, Bayer CropScience, the European Chemical Industry Council Cefic and/or the European Crop Protection Association (ECPA) concerning or mentioning the Green Deal or the EU Biodiversity Strategy between May 2019 and March 2020.

- All correspondence (including emails) by DG TRADE's officials (including the Commissioner and his Cabinet members) sent to or received from (or representatives from) Bayer AG, Bayer CropScience, the European Chemical Industry Council Cefic and/or the European Crop Protection Association (ECPA) concerning or mentioning the Green Deal or the EU Biodiversity Strategy between May 2019 and March 2020.

Should my request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.

Dear Sir,

We refer to your e-mail of 12/05/2020 in which you make a request for access to documents, registered on 13/05/2020 under the above mentioned reference number.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a position to complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires today.

An extended time limit is needed as part of the documents requested originate from third parties, which have been consulted.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 29/06/2020.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
