Dear European Border and Coast Guard Agency,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, we are requesting documents which contain the following information:

We would like to request all email correspondence including attached documents between Frontex Executive Director Fabrice Leggeri and the NGOs and organizations listed below that concern the cessation of the Sophia Rescue Mission for the six months prior to said cessation.
The NGOs/Organizations are:

All then-members of Frontex’ Consultative Forum (The Council of Europe (CoE); the International Organization for Migration (IOM); the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe - Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE ODIHR); the Advice on Individual Rights in Europe Centre (AIRE Centre); Amnesty International European Institutions Office (AI EIO); European Council for Refugees and Exiles (ECRE); Churches' Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME); International Commission of Jurists (ICJ); Jesuit Refugee Service Europe (JRS); Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM); the Red Cross EU Office and Save the Children (SC))

and the NGOs that performed sea rescues (Sea-Watch; Sea-Eye; Mission Lifeline; SOS Méditerranée; Doctors without Borders) and that concern the termination/suspension of Frontex’ Operation Sophia in 2019.

We are looking forward to your respond

Yours faithfully,

Marius Specht
