Dear Mr Wetzels,

Thank you for your request for access to documents.

Unfortunately you have not indicated your postal address that is required
for registering and handling your request in line with the procedural
requirements. Please send us your full postal address at your earliest
convenience. Pending your reply, we reserve the right to refuse the
registration of your request. You may, of course, use directly the
electronic form for entering your request:

[1]http://ec.europa.eu/transparency/regdoc/...

In addition, your request as indicated below is very wide scope with a
topic "TTIP" and timeline running for three years. Your application
concerns a large number of document(s), which need to be identified and
assessed individually. Such a detailed analysis cannot be carried out
within the normal time limits set out in Article 7 of Regulation
1049/2001. Therefore, we kindly ask you to clarify the scope by e.g.
indicating a specific area/specific documents within the TTIP negotiations
that you are interested in and/or shortening the timeframe covered.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Mr Wetzels,

We refer to your request dated 09/08/2016 in which you seek  access to
documents, registered under the above mentioned reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we were not in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires tomorrow 01/09/2016. An extended
time limit is needed as your application concerns a large number of
documents originating in different units; several files have to be
examined and related services in the Commission have to be consulted.
Therefore, we have extended the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 22/09/2016.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Dear Mr Wetzels,

Please accept our apologies for this regrettable delay.

We are currently working on the reply to your request. We have collected a number of documents from two of the units consulted. However we are experiencing some delay due to the fact that we are still waiting to receive documents from another unit. Provided that we receive the documents this week, we should be able to finalise a draft of the reply by the end of this week, or at the latest the beginning of the next.

It will however take a few days to get clearance from our hierarchy. Therefore we hope to be able to send out the reply in the week of 24 October.

We apologise again for this delay and for the inconvenience that it might have caused.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards,
