Communnication between DG JUST and DG FISMA on high-risk third countries during the Commission transition period in 2019
Dear Justice and Consumers,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- A list of all meetings that took place between DG JUST and DG FISMA on the issue of the risk assessment, identification and listing of high-risk third countries in the context of the EU’s anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) rules, in which the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was mentioned / referred to, and which took place in 2019 as part of the transition period between the Juncker and von der Leyen Commission;
- Agendas, minutes, reports and other documentation of these meetings;
- All related correspondence that took place between DG JUST and DG FISMA during the same period, in which the UAE was mentioned / referred to, and which took place in 2019 as part of the transition period between the Juncker and von der Leyen Commission. This could include but is not limited to, e-mails, text messages, basis documents, memos or drafts.
This request extends to any information that the Commission holds in relation any of the above points, including information that may have been deemed short-lived or unimportant.
