sg-acc-doc@ec.europa.eu,

Dear Mr Dohle,

We contact you in relation to your confirmatory application registered
under reference number EASE 2023/1977.

In your initial request of 3 March 2023 addressed to the
Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs, you requested access
to ‘All data related to contact with the Dutch Ministry of Justice over
the last 10 years’.

The request was split between the Directorate-General for Migration and
Home Affairs (EASE 2023/1713- for trafficking in human beings issues ) and
the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (EASE 2023/1977- for
adoption issues).

The Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs has already sent
you its reply for request EASE 2023/1713 on 14 April 2023.

Concerning the reply to request EASE 2023/1977 attributed to the
Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers, the latter sent you a
clarification request on 18 April 2023 to ask you to clarify the scope of
your request. You replied to this request on 26 March 2023, but you have
addressed your email to the Directorate-General for Migration and Home
Affairs and not to the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers. The
Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers did not receive your reply
to the clarification request and as a result closed the request EASE
2023/1977 via a closing letter which was sent to you on 28 April 2023.

You have introduced a confirmatory application on 24 May 2023, contesting
the reply from the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers to your
request EASE 2023/1977. Due to the complications related to handling of
the request EASE 2023/1977 and in order to respect the two-step procedural
review system under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, the Secretariat-General
has registered a new initial request for ‘All data related to contact with
the Dutch Ministry of Justice on adoption issues over the last 10 years’
and attributed it to the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers,
under reference number 2023/3212.

Please note that this is without prejudice to the possibility of the
Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers to further contact you to
clarify the scope of your request, if needed.

Consequently, the confirmatory application opened for your request EASE
2023/1977 will be now closed.

Kind regards,

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you for your
understanding.
