Cooperation between Europol and Ukraine
Dear European Police Office,
All information requested is of great public importance and is a subject for widespread public concern, and numerous publications in the media.
According to Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted and approved by the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 217A on 10th of December 1948 and the European Convention on Human Rights on 10 November 1950 everyone has the right to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority regardless of frontiers.
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following statistical information:
(1) The number of requests for police cooperation received by Europol from the Ukrainian law enforcement authorities for the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.
(2) The number of requests rejected due to their political motivation received by Europol from the Ukrainian law enforcement authorities for the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.
(3) The number of cases that were rejected due to their predominantly political character in 2014 - 2019 and to provide us with scan-copies of the decisions about such rejections.
Yours faithfully,
Viktoriia BOGATYR
