Dear Madam, Sir,

Regulation (EU) 2022/2371 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on serious cross-border threats to health, article 7, requires that Member States "provide the Commission and relevant Union agencies and bodies with an updated report on prevention, preparedness and response planning and implementation at national level and, where appropriate, cross-border interregional levels", by 27 December 2023.

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting all documents related to that requirement, dated between 23 November 2022 (the date of the Regulation) and 3 January 2024.

Only digital copies are required, please consider the environment by not sending me any physical mail.

I am of course available to clarify my request further if needed.

Sincerely
Peter Teffer

Dear Madam, Sir,

The time limit to reply to my request EASE 2024/0033 has expired for more than a month now. In your message from 19 February 2024 you explained the delay was "due to the volume of the information received from the Member States and due to the time needed for the consultation".

Has the Commission not considered to impose deadlines on the Member States by which they should reply to the consultation?

The Commission is not legally obliged to wait ad infinitum for Member States to reply and can take a decision on documents it holds. I also would like to point out there is the option to release the document in batches.

Sincerely
Peter Teffer
