DG MOVE meetings on self-driving cars
Dear Mobility and Transport,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
– all documents related to meetings between officials from DG MOVE and representatives of Waymo (Alphabet), Uber, Tesla, Lyft, Apple, GM, Daimler-Bosch, Ford, Volkswagen, BMW-Intel-FCA, Aptiv, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, Volvo-Autoliv-Ericsson-Zenuity or PSA on the issue of self-driving cars and autonomous driving since October 2017. This includes but is not limited to minutes, (hand-written) notes, audio recordings, verbatim reports, e-mails, and presentations

I refer to your email of 22 November 2018, registered on the same date,
through which you submit a confirmatory application in accordance with
Article 7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to
European Parliament, Council and Commission documents ('Regulation
1049/2001').
The reply to your confirmatory application is ready and is awaiting the
signature of the Secretary-General. Consequently, we are not in a
position to provide you the reply within the prescribed time limit
expiring 13 December 2018.
Consequently, we have to extend the deadline for handling it by another 15
working days in accordance with Article 8(2) of Regulation 1049/2001. The
new deadline expires on 15 January 2019, however, we hope to be able to
provide you the reply as soon as possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Subject: Your application for access to documents – Ref GestDem No
2018/5829
We refer to your e-mail dated 31/10/2018 in which you make a request for
access to documents, and our e-mail dated 26/11/2018.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expired on 19/12/2018.
Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 6(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents.
Officially, the new time limit expires on 23/01/2019.
According to our first estimates, we would be in a position to reply
before 11 January 2019.
