Dear European Central Bank,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

Responses to the ECB's consultation on a digital euro. Seeking the responses from companies and other commercial operators: "professionals, including banks, payment service providers, merchants and tech companies", as referenced in the ECB's announcement.

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Keane

ECB Information, Banque centrale européenne

Dear Mr Keane,

Thank you for your email dated 16 April 2021.

We would like to inform you that preparation for the publication of the
individual responses to the European Central Bank’s consultation on a
digital euro is currently ongoing.

Every single response needs to be checked again in order to avoid
potentially defamatory language or hate speech. This requires a deeper
assessment of the language and there are limits what software can do to
help.

At present, we aim at being able to release in Q2 2021.

You may wish to check the following link from time to time where the
results will be published: [1]Latest news on market infrastructure and
payments

Yours sincerely,
