Dear Ms Cann,
 
Following our letter of 13 November, we would like to thank you for your
understanding regarding the limitation of the relevant time period for the
requested documents.  In this context, we would like to inform you that
the processing of your request requires us to consult with many third
parties, pursuant to Article 4, paragraphs 4 and 5 of Regulation (EC)
n° 1049/2001.
For this reason, it will most likely not be possible to complete the
analysis of these documents within the normal timescales set out in
Article 7 of Regulation (EC) n° 1049/2001 (deadline of 9 January 2015).
 
Pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 3, of Regulation (EC) n° 1049/2001, we
propose to process your request on a step-by-step basis.  You will receive
at regular intervals a series of documents as we receive the necessary
authority from the relevant third parties or a reply providing
justification of the reasons why certain documents cannot be released. 
For these reasons, we need to extend the deadline to 27 February 2015.
 
In the meantime, our services have already identified certain documents

documents.  We hope to be in a position to send you these additional
documents once we have received the necessary authority from the relevant

third party organisations involved is taking more time than anticipated
and for this reason, we will need, with your understanding, to extend the
deadline to 17 April 2015.

We refer to your e-mail dated 07/05/2015 in which you make a request for access to all documents (correspondence, including e-mails, notes/ minutes from any meetings etc.) between ex Commissioner Siim Kallas and Nortal since 1 January 2013.

After further clarification on your part, the application has been registered on 11/05/2015 under the above mentioned reference number.
