Documents relating to "citizenship by ancestry"

La demande est réussie.

Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents and preparatory documents which relate to the subjects of "citizenship by ancestry", also sometimes referred to as "jure sanguinis" citizenship or "jus sanguinis" by member states.

While not intended to constrain the scope of the information request, it may be helpful to note that the European Commission has recently been asked to review the various EU systems under which citizenship is recognised or granted by member states. There may additionally be Commission documents prepared in relation to the activities of the European Parliament, particularly LIBE committee.

Yours faithfully,
Nicholas Lee
