EU delegation to South Africa: lobby contacts on hydrogen
Dear European External Action Service,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1. A list of all meetings/ discussions since 1 September 2023 between officials and or the Ambassador at the EU delegation to South Africa with businesses, trade associations, think tanks, or consultancies where the issue of hydrogen (and derivatives and infrastructure) was discussed.
2. Any records, minutes or notes of these meetings/discussions.
3. All correspondence since 1 September 2023, where the issue of hydrogen (and derivatives and infrastructure) was discussed, exchanged between officials and or the Ambassador at the EU delegation to South Africa with businesses, trade associations, think tanks, or consultancies.
To the extent possible, my strong preference is to receive documents in electronic format.
I would also be grateful to receive the documents in batches, as soon as they are identified and available to send.
Please note that I am tabling a similar request separately to DG INTPA, DG ENER, DG CLIMA and the Secretary General of the European Commission. I look forward to receiving the respective documents accordingly.
Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Pia Eberhardt

Dear European External Action Service,
could you please update me on the state of my access to documents request, which I sent to you on 25 June ("EU delegation to South Africa: lobby contacts on hydrogen")? By law, you should have responded by July 16, 2024. However, so far, I have not even received a confirmation nor case number.
Yours faithfully,
Pia Eberhardt
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your application, requesting access to documents under
Regulation No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament,
Council and Commission documents (that the EEAS is also respecting).
We received only title of your request and not the content of the request.
We were unable to trace the documents in question in the EEAS filing
systems and document management databases. We would be grateful if you
could supply us with further information.
Yours sincerely,
EEAS ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS
