Dear Madam, Sir,

Under the right of access to EU documents, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting, from the European Commissioners Environment, Trade and GROW and their cabinets; the DGs Environment, Trade, GROW; as well as the Secretary-General and the Secretariat General,

Any documents since 01 January 2020 until now including emails, briefings, reports, as well as attachments, and a list of meetings (also since 01 January 2020) with detailed minutes and any other reports of such meetings;

- Sent to or received from Croplife Europe/European Crop Protection Association (ECPA), Syngenta, Corteva (DowDupont), Bayer, BASF, CEFIC, the European Crop Care Association (ECCA), Arysta, BusinessEurope; or anyone acting on behalf of any of these companies and organisations;
- Sent to or received from permanent representation staff, national ministry officials or other representatives of the governments of Germany, Italy and Hungary;

regarding the export from the EU to third countries of hazardous chemicals that are banned in the European Union; as well as the planned ban on such exports as mentioned in the EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability adopted in October 2020.

I kindly ask you to not redact any name of professional lobbyists and the organisations and companies they work for, as such data cannot be considered personal data under Regulations 1049/2001 on access to documents and 45/2001 on data protection. Similarly, I kindly urge you to not apply an excessive interpretation of the clause on commercial secrets under 1049/2001.
Should this request be denied wholly or partially, please explain the denial or all deletions by referring to specific exemptions in the regulation, and by justifying your interpretation of the applicable legislation.

I look forward to a positive consideration of this request.

Yours faithfully,
Nina Holland
