Face Mask Viability
Dear Health and Food Safety,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
I'm a little bit confused as to what advice is needed regarding face masks. As you know, face masks have been told to wear them in any public building, at least in EU. This has thrown a selection of folk into a confused state as to thier validity in the first place.
From World Health Organisation:
14-23 However, there is currently no
evidence that wearing a mask (whether medical or other types) by healthy persons in the wider community setting, including universal community masking, can prevent them from infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID-19.
Medical masks should be reserved for health care workers.
I have 2 main questions.
First: Could you confirm how effective masks are, given the fact that the virus can still speard weather we war a mask or not?
Second: Can you supply data as to how many have caught the virus that have worn masks, and how many have not worn masks, so we can see the diffrence?
Yours faithfully,
Stephen Case
