Dear Ms Brinkman,

This message is an acknowledgement of receipt for your requests for access to documents under Regulation 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, which the EEAS is also respecting.

Your requests for access to documents has been registered under reference numbers: 2024/180

Please note that the formulation of your request does not allow us to perform an effective search, as it is excessively generic and unclear. To ensure consistency and avoid duplications, we will keep your request on hold until you have clarified the scope of your request with the Commission. We wish to reassure you that the Commission Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) will keep us informed of the outcome of your exchanges. Once the scope of your request is clarified we will calculate the 15 working days deadline to reply to your request.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Ms Brinkman,

Thank you for your message.
The delay in replying to your request is due to the complexity of the case and the fact that the EEAS is coordinating with the Commission on how to better handle your application in a way to properly satisfy your needs.

After discussions with the responsible service within the European Commission, we have agreed to reach out to you proposing that your application is handled as access to information request, which seems more suitable to meet your needs.

We are aware that the Commission has reached out to you to ask your agreement. Should you reply positively to that message, we will reply to the request for information jointly with the European Commission. We have put the case on hold until now.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Yours sincerely,
