freedom movement in Ireland
Dear Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
i am a british citizen currently residing in uk. my wife is in india and due to some personal reasons I have to get her out of india and was thinking to move to Ireland. my parents live in uk. I am planning to work in Ireland and I have enough savings £20000 for the support I need for myself and my spouse.
could you please update me, if my wife can join me upon my arrival in Ireland or do I have to move beforehand. like go to Ireland, get a job etc. I can rent a flat and will have use of a car in Ireland.
I am looking to move in 3 weeks.
Yours faithfully,
amar singh
Dear Mr Singh
You are requesting information on criteria for residency rights in Ireland, so I suggest that you should write to the Irish national Immigration Service who will give be in a better position to give information on the conditions that must be met. The website is at http://www.inis.gov.ie/
Alternatively, if it is more convenient, as you are a resident of the UK, you could write to the Embassy of Ireland in London. https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/great-b...
