Nikolaj Nielsen

Dear European Parliament,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

According to the rules of procedure article 35, Quaestors are supposed to keep a register of declarations when it comes to:

1. Intergroups annual declaration of any support, whether in cash or in kind (e.g. secretarial assistance), which, if offered to Members as individuals.

2. Other unofficial groupings [Friendship groups] shall also be required to declare, by the end of the following month, any support, whether in cash or in kind, which Members have not declared individually.

I am seeking access to the Quaestors register of declarations on these two points as of January 2019 til present.

Yours faithfully,

Nikolaj Nielsen

Dear Mr Nielsen,

The documents you requested under point 1) of your application A(2020)8557
are published on Parliament's website under the following link:
[1]https://www.europarl.europa.eu/about-par....

With point 2) of your application you requested access to the declarations
of other unofficial groupings [Friendship groups]. The other unofficial
groupings are required to declare, by the end of the following month, any
support, whether in cash or in kind, which Members have not declared
individually in accordance with their obligations under the Code of
Conduct for Members with respect to financial interests and conflicts of
interest and the implementing measures thereof. Pursuant to the attached
Quaestor's notice, this obligation applies individually to each Member
participating in an unofficial grouping and benefiting from such a
support. Declarations shall be filed with Parliament's administration,
which shall then publish the declarations.

The institution assessed the documents it holds and found that so far no
declarations were submitted with reference to the Quaestor's notice.
However, for the sake of clarity, Members' declarations of interests
based on Annex I of the Rules of Procedure are all published on the
Members' respective Parliament webpage:
[2]https://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/h...

In view of the above Parliament considers your application as handled and
closes the file. However, should you be interested in accessing other
Parliament documents, please do not hesitate to submit a new application.

Kind regards,
