Further information requested to complete the information given in a press release from the Commission dated the 14th of February 2017

La demande est réussie.

Jan Å Johansson

Dear Communication,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

I hereby refer to a press release from the Commission dated the 14th of February 2017 with the title:
”Comitology: Commission proposes more transparency and accountability in procedures for implementing EU law”
http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-...

In this press release the Commission writes:
”In 2015 and 2016, the Commission was legally obliged to adopt 17 acts which concerned the authorisation of sensitive products and substances such as glyphosate or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), despite Member States being unable to take position either in favour or against the decisions.”

Can you send me a list of these 17 legislation acts in question and information about when and where (in the Commission itself or in a standing committee) the Commission adopted these acts?

Yours faithfully,
Jan Å Johansson

Dear Mr Johansson,

You have requested a list of acts concerning the authorisation of
genetically modified organisms and plant protection products adopted by
the Commission in 2015 and 2016 following a "no opinion" outcome in the
Appeal Committee. Please find attached a list of 27 acts corresponding to
your request, namely:

- 15 acts referred to in the press release of 14 February 2017, voted in
the Appeal Committee and adopted by Commission  in 2015 or 2016  (2
additional acts mentioned in the press release are not included in the
list as they were voted in those years but adopted in 2017).

- 12 acts voted in the Appeal Committee prior to 2015 and adopted by the
Commission in 2015 or 2016 .

We hope you find this information useful.

Best regards,
