On 7 July 2021, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, wrote on social media: "Since the beginning of my mandate, we have initiated 40 infringement proceedings related to the protection of the rule of law and EU values." Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the list of infringement proceedings initiated by the Commission, as mentioned by President von der Leyen above.
