Sehr geehrte / Sehr geehrter Europäische Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschuss,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

In Germany, ususally is said that one of seven jobs depend "directly or indirectly" upon the automotive industry.
Really there are about 760,000 jobs in the German automotive industry, including peripheric enterprises, retail, garages a.s.o. That is one of fifty (!) jobs in Germany.

The criteria of making a job "indirectly dependant" on automotives are not explained anywhere. So it remains a mystery how the automotive lobby gets from one of fifty to one of seven.

Are there according numbers for the EU? And are there criteria of the kind mentioned above? And are there similar numbers and similar criteria for other industries, f. e. the health industry?

Mit freundlichem Gruß,

Jens Jürgen Korff
