Margaritis Schinas and cabinet engagement with external stakeholders regarding pharmaceutical legislation
Dear Secretariat General of the European Commission,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information related to Vice-President Margaritis Schinas (Promoting our European Way of Life) and his cabinet.
(1) Any minutes and agendas of meetings, between external stakeholders and VP Schinas and/or members of his cabinet, where the Pharmaceutical Strategy and/or the revision of the General Pharmaceutical Legislation were discussed (up to 26 April 2023).
(2) Any written correspondence from external stakeholders which directly concerns the Pharmaceutical Strategy or the revision of the General Pharmaceutical Legislation (up to 26 April 2023) and, if applicable, the response from VP Schinas and/or members of his cabinet. Please include any documents attached to such correspondence.
If you have any questions or require clarification of the scope of the request, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be glad to discuss the request and refine its parameters if appropriate. In case it is helpful to have some context, we are seeking to better understand the Commission’s stakeholder engagement processes as part of a research project.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Kathrin Lauber

Dear Secretariat-General Access to Documents team,
Many thanks for your message.
As my request concerns the revision of the general pharmaceutical legislation, I propose to start in March 2021 when the inception impact assessment was published. Based on the response of the lead DG of this initiative to a similar request we submitted, I anticipate this should be feasible in terms of scope, but please don't hesitate to let me know if any issues arise.
Yours faithfully,
