Dear EC ARES NOREPLY,
thank you for the response to my FOI request. I am very surprised to hear that "no minutes were drafted following the meeting between the Cabinet and representatives of Goldman Sachs".
Firstly, from a perspective of transparency and accountability it would seem good practice to takes notes from meetings with lobbyists; is it not common practice in the European Commission to do so?
Secondly, in case there are indeed no "official minutes", I would like to clarify that my request also covers other types of documents related to the meeting, such as handwritten notes. Could you clarify if there are any such documents related to the meeting between Edward Bannerman (Cabinet of Commissioner Jyrki Katainen) and representatives of Goldman Sachs Group?
Yours faithfully,
Olivier Hoedeman
