Dear Sir,

We have sent you the extension letter using your correct name (see the attachment). In addition, you will find attached the proof of sending the letter.

We would like to clarify that you have requested documents relating to a meeting that has taken place in the meantime, but we still have some internal procedure to finalise in relation to it, and only then we will be able to reply to your application. We have therefore requested an extension of the deadline in this respect. You will receive an appropriate reply to your application by 1 July 2022 at the latest, as we have indicated in the attached letter.

We will inform you of any further developments regarding your request, should anything arise in the procedure.

I am writing in reference to your letter of 05/07/2022, registered on the
same day, by which you lodge a confirmatory application in accordance with
Article 7(2) of Regulation 1049/2001 regarding public access to European
Parliament, Council and Commission documents[6]^[2] (hereafter Regulation
1049/2001).

 

I also refer to our holding reply dated 25/07/2022, by which the time
limit for replying to your confirmatory request was extended by 15 working
days, pursuant to Article 8(2) of the Regulation. This extended time limit
expires on 18/08/2022.

 

Unfortunately, we are not yet in a position to provide you with our final
position within this deadline given the delay took with our service
consultation concerning your request. I regret this additional delay and
sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
