Meetings with stakeholders on the review of the car emissions regulation

La demande est réussie.

Dear Climate Action,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- a list of all meetings in the last year regarding the ongoing review of legislation to reduce CO2 emissions from passenger cars

- all correspondence and minutes of meetings between DG Clima and ACEA or members of ACEA regarding the ongoing review of legislation to reduce CO2 emissions from passenger cars

Please ensure that documents are made available as soon as they are found rather than waiting to package them all together.

Yours faithfully,

Pascoe Sabido,
Corporate Europe Observatory,
Mundo-B,
26 Rue d'Edimbourg
Brussels 1050
Belgium

Dear Climate Action,

I wanted to provide a one-year time limit for correspondence and minutes of meetings, so it wasn't too vast.

Yours faithfully,

Pascoe Sabido

Dear Climate Action,

Thank you for the links, they were useful to see the public stakeholder engagement activities undertaken.

Firstly, would you be able to send through a list of participants, as it wasn't publicly available.

Secondly, please confirm that this isn't the totality of the response to my access to documents requests, as while useful and informative, it covers only a fraction.

Yours faithfully,

Pascoe Sabido

Dear Mr Sabido,

Thank you for getting back to us that quick regarding your request.

Following your email of yesterday, we made the search again. We still could not identify any other document falling under the scope of your request (which I am recalling you, for the sake of clarity: 1. a list of all meetings in the last year regarding the ongoing review of legislation to reduce CO2 emissions from passenger cars 2. all correspondence and minutes of meetings between DG Clima and ACEA or members of ACEA regarding the ongoing review of legislation to reduce CO2 emissions from passenger cars). The request in Gestdem (ref. 2015/3981) will therefore be closed.

As regards the list of participants, there is no such existing document. This will thus be treated as an access to information request, in accordance with the Code of Good Administrative Behaviour.

Yours faithfully,

Mathilde CREPY

Dear Climate Action,

Thank you for the follow-up information.

I wanted to confirm one final thing - when asking for a list of meetings, while the document may not exist, is is customary to create such a document on request to show the meetings that have taken place.

If you could confirm that there have been no private meetings between DG CLIMA and ACEA or its members on the ongoing review of legislation to reduce CO2 emissions from passenger cars, I can then consider the case closed.

Yours faithfully,

Pascoe Sabido

Dear Mr. Sabido,

Thank you for your email.
Could you please clarify what is encompassed under 'ACEA or its members'?
Do you mean entities/persons corresponding with DG CLIMA as
representatives or on behalf of ACEA only or does this also include BMW
Group, DAF Trucks NF, Daimler AG, FCA, Ford of Europe GmbH, Hyundai Motor
Europe GmbH, Iveco S.p.A., Jaguar Land Rover, Opel Group, PSA Peugeot
Citroen, Renault SA, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen AG, Volvo Car
Corporation and Volvo Group?

Thank you in advance,

Kind regards,
