Dear Budget,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

1. Memos, guidance, guidelines, or training material (or any other document) for DG staff on record creation and/or record keeping. I am particularly interested in documents that refer to creation/keeping of:

· Agendas (diaries of public officials´ engagements), lists of meetings, minutes of meetings, lists of participants in meetings, and documents justifying decisions.

2. Memos, guidance, guidelines, or training material (or any other document) for DG staff on the processing of access to information requests.

Dear Ms van Nunen,

 

Further to your request for access to information on record creation
and/or record keeping for DG staff, we inform you of the following:

 

DG Budget applies the corporate E-domec guidelines concerning the creation
and keeping of documents, for which the General-Secretariat is
responsible.

 

The team of our local document management officer gives indications for
the implementation and follow-up of document management related rules and
procedures decided at corporate level. The team keeps us updated on any
changes or new procedures applicable to the Commission.

 

Our staff attend on a regular basis general training on specific skills.
In the past year we organised a course on Taking notes and another one on
Drafting minutes.

 

We trust this information will be useful and helpful.

Dear EC ARES NOREPLY,

Thank you for your response and the accompanying information about record keeping within your DG. However, my request was twofold, as it also requested ''memos, guidance, guidelines, or training material (or any other document) for DG staff on the processing of access to information requests.''

In the response you do not mention anything or any information about access to information requests. Can you please also provide me an answer concerning this specific part of my request?
