MEP local assistants
Dear European Parliament,
If hypothetical MEP(A) employs a relative of hypothetical MEP(B) as a local assistant but it is apparent that the relative is working for MEP(B).
Please advise me whether they are breaking EU rules, if so who enforces these EU rules.

inform you that the rules governing the employment of assistants to MEPs
are to be found in the BUREAU decision on the Implementing measures for
the Statute for MEPs :

In case of alleged infringement of the rules, the authorising officer (DG
Finances (1)) can, on the basis of the Financial Regulation, proceed with
the necessary inquiries.
