Dear Mr Rayan,

your request for public access to documents concerns documents that
contain personal data within the meaning of Article 3(1) of Regulation
(EU) 2018/1725. In light of Article 4(1)(b) of Regulation (EC) No

of applications for public access to documents containing personal data.
In that sense, Article 9(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 provides that
the recipient of personal data must establish the necessity to have the
data transmitted for a specific purpose in the public interest.

In view of the above, we would like to ask you to establish that the
transmission of the personal data you have requested is necessary in the
above-mentioned sense.

With a view to permitting the European Parliament to duly notify its
decision concerning your application, you are kindly invited to provide us
with your postal address.

Notification by registered letter with an acknowledgement of receipt is
required in order to ensure legal certainty as regards your receipt of
Parliament's decision, pursuant to the third subparagraph of Article
297(2) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (OJ C 326,
26.10.2012, p. 47).

We thank you for your understanding.
