Veuillez trouver ci-joint le document Ares(2019)7081902 de OLAZABAL Claudia (ENV.D.1) daté du 15/11/2019.

Dear Olazábal,

Thank you for your message.

You asked me to reduce the scope of my request. I can do that in three ways.

- I originally asked for all communication about nitrogen emissions AND about Natura 2000 sites. To narrow that down: I would like to have the communication about nitrogen in relation to Natura 2000 sites. That would probably exclude a lot.

- I originally asked for the communication from both sides, so from the Netherlands and from the Commission. To narrow that down, I can just ask for all communication from the Commission to the Netherlands.

- Finally, I asked for the communication between 2009 and 2019. To narrow that down as well, I would just ask for all the communication between 2014 and 2019.

That would make the new request: I would like to receive all communication from the European Commission to the Netherlands about nitrogen emissions in relation to natura 2000 sites between 2014 and 2019.

I hope this works for you. If you have any further suggestions, you can reach me on my emailadress [email address] or by phone, 0032-471731586.

yours sincerely,

Thomas Spekschoor (NOS, dutch public tv)

Dear Mr Spekschoor

I am coordinating the reply to your request for access to documents on the
relationship between natura 2000 and the nitrogen issue in The
Netherlands.

I know we are somewhat behind the promised deadline.

We apologize for this. We are waiting for the reply of a third party which
we had to consult.

We could have sent you an official extension of the deadline but we hope
to be able to send you an answer until the end of the week or Monday 16th.

Best Regards
