Dear Office For Administration And Payment Of Individual Entitlements,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my request for access to documents or to the following information about 'Payment statistics' including:
- amounts of the 20 highest insurance payments made per annum, since your inception and their reason.
- amounts of the 20 lowest insurance payments per annum and their reason.
A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/paym...

Until now, you have not provided me with an access to information that I have asked. My request does not concern any sensitive personal information nor individual data.
Officials and other servants of the European Union (and members of their family subject to certain conditions) are covered by the Joint Sickness Insurance Scheme of the European Union (JSIS), which reimburses medical expenses for most medical procedures or treatments at the rate of 80-85% (subject to certain ceilings). Members of the scheme in active employment are also insured against accidents and occupational diseases.
The PMO administers, calculates and pays the financial entitlements of the staff of the European Commission and certain other Community institutions and bodies. These individual entitlements are:
salaries and allowances;
- reimbursement of experts and mission expenses;
- health insurance and accident cover;
- pensions;
- unemployment.

My request concerns the data that are in your possession. It is important for the general public to be able to hold the EU accountable for its use of EU budget. Therefore the European Commission has the good practice of making such kind of financial data available to the public.

Yours faithfully,

Monika Klann

Dear Madam,

As we cannot be sure whether the postal address provided by the applicants
in the framework of previous access to documents requests has changed, we
require confirmation of the postal address for each new initial request.

We deduce from your email dated 2 April 2020 that your address is still
the same as the one submitted in the framework of your previous request
registered under reference number 2019/5189 and will therefore send our
reply to: Struenseegade 7, 2200 København, Denmark.

Please be also informed that, as your application has not been dealt with
yet at the initial level pending the receipt of your postal address, your
message cannot be considered a confirmatory application in the meaning of
Article 7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001.

We hereby acknowledge receipt of your application for access to documents
(enclosed), which was registered on 3 April 2020 under reference number
GESTDEM 2020/1887.

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to
European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, your application
will be handled within 15 working days. The time limit will expire on 29
April 2020. In case this time limit needs to be extended, you will be
informed in due course.

You have lodged your application via a private third-party website, which
has no link with any institution of the European Union. Therefore, the
European Commission cannot be held accountable for any technical issues or
problems linked to the use of this system.

Please note that the private third party running the AsktheEU.org website
is responsible and accountable for the processing of your personal data
via that website, and not the Commission. For further information on your
rights, please refer to the third party’s privacy policy.

We understand that the third party running the AsktheEU.org website
usually publishes the content of applicants’ correspondence with the
Commission on that website. This includes the personal data that you may
have communicated to the Commission (e.g. your private postal address).

Similarly, the third party publishes on that website any reply that the
Commission will send to the email address of the applicants generated by
the AsktheEU.org website.

If you do not wish that your correspondence with the Commission is
published on a private third-party website such as AsktheEU.org, you can
provide us with an alternative, private e-mail address for further
correspondence.  In that case, the Commission will send all future
electronic correspondence addressed to you only to that private address,
and it will use only that private address to reply to your request. You
should still remain responsible to inform the private third-party website
about this change of how you wish to communicate with, and receive a reply
from, the Commission.

Yours faithfully,
