Dear Research and Innovation,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1. All the documents relating to “power to gas project” in Sestu (Sardinia - Italy) arrived at the DG Research and Innovation
2. A list of all meetings and/or calls during which “power to gas project” in Sestu (Sardinia - Italy) was discussed.
The list should include: date, individuals attending and organisational affiliation, as well as the issues discussed;
- all minutes and other reports of these meetings and/or calls;
- all documents prepared for the purpose of the meetings issued both in preparation and after the meetings took place.
- all correspondence, including attachments (i.e. any emails, mail correspondence or telephone call notes) between the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, including any Cabinet Members and/or officials, and any lobby group and/or industry representative discussing “power to gas project” in Sardinia (Italy)
To the extent possible, I prefer the documents in electronic format.
Should my request be denied wholly or partially, I kindly request to explain the denial or all redactions referring to specific exemptions in the regulation. Also I would expect the partial release of documents, in case of partial exemption according to article 4.6.
Please confirm receipt of this application. I look forward to receiving your reply within 15 business days, as established by the regulation.
Yours faithfully,
Francesca Cicculli

registration and assessment of your request, we would like you to clarify
its scope.
Namely, in your 1st point, you refer to “documents relating to “power to

In your 2nd point, you continue requesting “A list of all meetings and/or

would like you to specify with what entity/entities these meetings or
calls could have taken place.
At the same point, 3rd paragraph, you ask for "all correspondence,

call notes) between the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation,
including any Cabinet Members and/or officials, and any lobby group and/or
industry representative discussing “power to gas project” in Sardinia
(Italy)".
We would like to know whether you are interested in correspondence with:
- Our Directorate-General for Research and Innovation or

Innovation, Ms. Mariya Gabriel, and the team (Officials and/or not)
assisting her and corresponding to the Members of the Cabinet.
You are kindly invited to send us clarification within three working days
(by Monday 20th eob), so that we can proceed to the treatment of your

Dear [email address],
1. The project involves the production of green hydrogen, through hydrolysis, and synthetic methane, through the hydrogenation of CO2. Part of the hydrogen produced will be mixed (blending) with natural gas and fed into the city network owned by Italgas. The project partners are: Italgas, Jemena, Sotacarbo, Sardegna Ricerche and Crs4. The project was selected in the list of Italian IPCEI projects, eligible for obtaining EU funds.

I am interested in documents relating to meetings and/or calls with BOTH Directorate-General for Research and Innovation AND your Cabinet, including Commissioner for Research and Innovation, Ms. Mariya Gabriel, and the team (Officials and/or not) assisting her and corresponding to the Members of the Cabinet.
Yours sincerely,
