Dear Communications Networks, Content and Technology,
Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.
I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Public consultation on the DSA-TDB'.
The rejection of the partial release of documents 32-50 is incomprehensible. This is a public consultation, so no business interests are affected, and all the content of the public consultations received can usually be viewed via the Better Regulation Portal. Why this is not the case here is questionable in any case.
In this respect, it is indeed proportionate to redact the personal data concerned from the remaining 18 documents.
The public interest clearly outweighs the private interest at this point, as these are statements from companies and NGOs on the implementation of the DSA Transparency Database, a tool of the Digital Services Act that is widely discussed in public.
Accordingly, documents 32-50 are also to be redacted so that personal information is no longer included and can then be disclosed.
A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/publ...
Yours faithfully,
Samuel Groesch
