Dear Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting the document referred to in your 'detailed explanation of the specific provisions of the proposal' wherein you state the following: "In Article 2 the proposal newly includes collectors within the scope of the directive. Collectors have been identified as a possible source of traffic of firearms by the evaluation carried out."

We would like to receive a full copy of this evaluation as well as copies of any evidence provided to DG GROWTH confirming that persons who are recognised in their member states as collectors (as defined in the Arms Directive 477/91) have been identified as such a possible source.
