Dear Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I request access to the following:

All documents, including (but not limited to) correspondence (emails and letters) between the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU and relevant companies/organisations (see below) as well as all documents including recordings, transcripts, minutes, notes, attendance lists with names of organisations, lobbyists and other participants, dates, background papers and meeting conclusions regarding meetings between the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU and said relevant companies/organisations, from January 1 2019 until June 6 2023.

Relevant companies/organisations include World Business Council for Sustainable Development, FoodDrinkEurope, Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA), FEDIOL, ABIOVE, FEFAC, COCERAL, COPA-COGECA, Agri-food Chain Coalition (AFCC), Aceitera General Deheza S.A., Glencore, Bunge, Cargill, Dario Ruivo Lda.

If possible, I prefer you produce the documents on a rolling basis. At no point should the Permanent Representation's search for (or deliberations concerning) certain documents delay the production of others that the Commission has already retrieved and chosen to produce.

If some documents are partially exempted from publication, I wish to have access to a partial release of said documents.

I prefer to receive documents electronically.

Please contact me if any point of this request needs to be clarified,

Thank you for your help,

Adrian Burtin

Dear Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU,

It is June 28 and I still haven't received a reply to my request, which by law you were required to provide by June 27. I therefore politely ask that you send me the documents I require.

Best regards,

Adrian Burtin

RPUE IT - Giuridico Contenzioso,

Dear Sir,

We reply to Your request, made on 06/06/2023, concerning the access to documents and information on activities of this Permanent Representation.

We have remarked that Your request does not concern the access to documents of the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies under art. 15 TFEU, nor to documents of the EU institutions under reg. 1049/2001.
This being the case, there is no relevant right of access to the documents requested under EU Law.

We also inform You that a request to consult the Italian documentation can be submitted to the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Office for Relations with the Public:
