Dear Oluwatoyi Ogunnubi,

Thank you for your request for information of 7 February 2018 and your
question as regards your right to work in the European Union. Your email
has been forwarded to the 'Legal Migration and Integration' Unit of
Directorate General Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission.

Whether or not you have the right to work depends on the type of residence
permit/visa you hold and which allows you to reside in the European Union.
It is unclear from the information contained in your request what your
current status in the European Union is.

If your student visa is still valid and you have not changed status, you
can still benefit from the rights attached to that visa. If you are now
residing under another type of visa/residence permit, you may be allowed
to work or not depending on the rights attached to that residence
permit/visa.

You can find more information on the different types of residence
permits/visas issued by each Member State on the EU Immigration Portal:
[1]http://ec.europa.eu/immigration/ .

Yours sincerely,
