Rules for the implementation of Regulation 1049/2001

La demande est réussie.

Dear European Ombudsman,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

The Agency´s own rules for the implementation of Regulation
1049/2001 regarding access to its documents.

The only thing I found was this: http://www.ombudsman.europa.eu/resources...
and I would like to know if there is any other document on the Omdudsman´s implementation of Regulation 1049.

Yours faithfully,

N. K. Netzell

Dear European Ombudsman,

This is a reminder. My request to documents is still awaiting response since August 22. Please answer me ASAP.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Netzell,

We sincerely regret this delay in responding to your request. It appears
that your message of 22 August 2013 was not properly received in our
e-mail system. We have had a number of problems with our reception of
messages from that website, and we are currently taking action to revise
our so-called 'rules' in the e-mail system. If you were to detect a delay
in the future, please do not hesitate to send an e-mail directly from your
own mailbox to our central mailbox to check.

In response to your message of 22 August, copied in here below, I can
inform you that the European Ombudsman has not yet adopted formal written
rules for the application of Regulation 1049/2001. This is primarily
because, first, the Regulation only became applicable to our Institution
following the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty, and, second, the few
requests for access to documents that the European Ombudsman receives are
generally related to her handling of complaints, to which other rules
apply. The following material on [1]www.asktheeu.org website may be of
further use to your research:

Finally, I should let you know that it is entirely possible that the
European Ombudsman may adopt rules in the future, therefore please do not
hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards,

European Ombudsman
