Single Use Plastics Directive impact assessment
Dear Environment,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain information regarding the initiative 'Reducing marine litter: action on single use plastics and fishing gear' hereafter the 'SUP initiative'.
1.) The draft impact assessment reports for the SUP initiative that were submitted to the Regulatory Scrutiny Board (version of March 2018 & version of April 2018).
2.) Any correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes held by DG ENV and involving members of the Regulatory Scrutiny Board in relation to the SUP initiative (between 2017 and 2019).
3.) Any correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes held by DG ENV involving tobacco companies or trade associations in relation to the SUP initiative, dated before June 2018. If this is too broad, please narrow it down to Unit B1 within DG ENV and the following actors (including their representatives): British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco (JT) International, Philip Morris International, Tobacco Europe, Scandinavian Tobacco Group, Bundesverband der Tabakwirtschaft und neuartiger Erzeugnisse, Deutscher Zigarettenverband DZV, European Smoking Tobacco Association.
4.) DG SANTE response to DG ENV request for information regarding tobacco product filters in the context of the SUP Directive, prompted by a meeting with British American Tobacco (Ares(2018)5828464) in November 2018.
If this request is too broad or anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Yours faithfully,
Kathrin Lauber

Dear HANSEN-BAIRD Charlotte Ahlmann (ENV),
Please can you provide me with an update on GESTDEM 2022/3745? I received a holding reply on 13 July but have not had any further communication on this request. I appreciate this falls in the summer break so no problem if you need more time. Further, if there is anything I can do to help clarify or narrow down elements of my request please do not hesitate to let me know.
Yours sincerely,
Kathrin Lauber
Dear Kathrin,
I apologise for the delay in replying to your request for access to documents.
Indeed, a combination of holidays, workload and now sick leave has prevented us from sending out a reply within the deadline.
Work has nonetheless progressed, albeit a bit slower, and we should be able to send out a reply this week still - I hope this is acceptable to you.
With kind regards
Charlotte

Dear Charlotte,
Thanks for the quick reply. That is absolutely fine, here is no urgency from my side - I just wanted to make sure this has not slipped through the cracks in light of the another request I had running in parallel.
All the best,
Kathrin
Dear Ms Lauber,
I'm contacting you just to let you know that the reply is being checked internally, but due to our administrative procedures, it's just taking longer than I had predicted.
Not forgotten of course, and you should receive something very soon.
Kind regards
Charlotte
