Dear Mr Dohle,

We acknowledge receipt of your message addressed to the Secretariat General of the European Commission.

Please kindly note that request GestDem 2020/4880 was registered on 17/08/2020 and attributed to DG NEAR. It concerns: "documents which contain the following information: Note dated 28 November 2002, registration nr. D(2002) 95602. We consider it in the public interest to provide transparency on this matter, considering the precarious position of the Task Manager of the Romanian children file. It concerns a note to Director-General E. Landaburu (DG Enlargement), signed by the Head of Unit of the Romania Team."

As mentioned in the previous e-mail, we are not in a position to complete the handling of your application within the time limit of 15 working days, which expires today.

An extended time limit is needed as in order to retrieve the documents requested, large files have to be examined.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 28/09/2020.

We thank you in advance for your understanding.
