stakeholder contacts of DG Trade

La demande est partiellement réussie.

Dear Madams and Sirs at DG Trade,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- a list of meetings of DG Trade officials and/ or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) with stakeholders, including individual companies, law firms, arbitrators and industry associations, in which the EU-China investment negotiations were discussed (between 01 September 2013 and today);

- minutes and other reports of these meetings;

- all correspondence (including emails) between DG Trade officials and/or representatives (including the Commissioner and the Cabinet) and stakeholders, including representatives of companies, business associations, law firms and individual arbitrators, in which the EU-China investment negotiations were discussed (between 01 September 2013 and today);

- studies and reports that fed into the Commission's own impact assessment of the EU-China investment relations (SWD(2013) 185 final), including the one by Copenhagen Economics (2012), the results of the business survey conducted by Copenhagen Econonomics during which around 1000 companies were conducted as well as the report of the joint fact finding mission to China by Copenhagen Economics and DG Trade in May 2011.

Kind regards,

Pia Eberhardt

Dear Madams and Sirs (TRADE),

thank you for the response to my request.

Unfortunately, I only now had the time to properly go through the results.

I hope it's ok if I sent you this - slightly belated - follow up question of clarification. In my request I had specifically included the following document: the business survey conducted by Copenhagen Econonomics during which around 1000 companies were conducted.

Unfortunately, I cannot find the survey anywhere in your response - not even in the list of documents you kindly provided. Does it mean this document does not exist? However, that would surprise me, because the documents is clearly referred to on page five of the EU's impact assessment report (http://ec.europa.eu/smart-regulation/imp...). If it does exist, why did you not include it in the response to my request? Could you re-consider this, please?

Mand thanks in advance for your help and understanding.

Yours faithfully,

Pia Eberhardt
