Strike days lost and payment

La demande est réussie.

Dear Secretariat General,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

For the last five years, the number of man work days lost to strike action at the Commission, indicating the estimated cost impact that ensued (ie the extent to which savings were accrued and to which budget they were subsequently reattributed; or whether salaried payment of strike days was included as part of the settlement deal).

My address is

313, Norman Shaw North

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Rotherham,

We refer to your e-mail dated 30/4/2016 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 2/5/2016 under the reference number
GestDem 2016/2379.

By your application, you request to obtain documents which contain the
following information:

"For the last five years, the number of man work days lost to strike
action at the Commission, indicating the estimated cost impact that ensued
(ie the extent to which savings were accrued and to which budget they were
subsequently reattributed; or whether salaried payment of strike days was
included as part of the settlement deal)."

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires today.

An extended time limit is needed as your application does not indicate a
concrete existing document. Please note that under Regulation No 1049/2001
it is not possible to have access to information which would have to be
compiled and processed for this specific purpose.

Therefore, we need to check whether documents which contain the
information you require already exist within our services.

For this reason, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 17/06/2016.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours faithfully,
