Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
The UE textile enterprises list that produces clothes or textiles with imported cotton. I would like the list broken down with the following information: Brands or enterprises, amount and country of cotton imported, of the last 2 years.

Thank you for your email with regard to imports of cotton.
Please find attached a table, based on Eurostat statistics, with the 2016
and 2017 EU import figures for cotton, chapter 52 of the Combined
Nomenclature. The statistics are presented in value and quantity.
In 2017 EU imports of cotton, for all tariff headings of chapter 52 of the
Combined Nomenclature, amounted to just over €3,2 billion. Italy, Germany
and Portugal were the three biggest importers.
Unfortunately, we don’t have available statistics for specific enterprises
that produce textile of imported cotton.
