Secretariat Inbound e-mails,

Dear Mr Hai ,
Thank you for your email of 6 October 2017 asking 1) why the ECB has
vetting for visitors and how vetting is applied and 2) access to the rules
and regulations for ECB vetting of visitors.
After having carefully examined your request, we would like to inform you
that individuals who merely visit the ECB, e.g. for a meeting with staff
or a guided tour, do not need to undergo a vetting procedure. However,
visitors to the ECB go through an on-site screening process upon arrival
to ensure that no dangerous items or substances are brought into the
premises of the ECB.
Please note that information on the screening and other practical aspects
of visiting the ECB is publicly available
([1]http://www.ecb.europa.eu/ecb/visits/visi...).
We trust that the information provided answers your questions.
Yours sincerely,
Compliance and Governance Office
